3x3x3 Octahedron

The 3x3x3 Octahedron is a twisty puzzle which can be easily solved. It's effectively a shape modification of a 3x3x3 Rubik's cube.


The Basic Plot
  1. Solve corners
  2. Solve edges
  3. Solve centers


Step 1: Solve Corners

Corners are easily solved by twisting.



Step 2: Solve Edges

Once the corners are oriented correctly, we solve the edges as we would for a Rubiks cube, using the edge piece series. Any order works, but it's helpful to do them in the order shown in this video.



Step 3: Solve Centers

The centers are solved using the corner piece series.





And that's it. Your 3x3x3 Octahedron is now solved. I trust this site has been helpful. If you have any questions or want some clarifications, please use the comments to do so.

    1. No. The "formulas" you're talking about are the backbone of the ultimate solution. There's only two of them and they're amazingly easy. Have you looked at the rest of the site to learn about the edge piece series and the corner piece series?

  2. I have a Kindle Fire hd. And for some reason I only see blank spacing where I presume you mean to have the pertinent video to appear. If it's not too much work...could you post the actual link under these visuals. Or if easier just the title so I can do a YouTube search?
